Frequently Asked Questions

Listed below are the questions we are most commonly asked. Please click on a question to view the answer. How old does a student have to be to take your program?

Students can begin the class when they are 14 years and 7 months of age or older.

Where does the class take place?

At this time, we are only offering our online course.

When is the state permit test taken?

After you have attended all days of classroom and have completed your online coursework, there will be a link at the end of your course to schedule a permit test at our office, or to request the necessary forms to take to the DMV for your permit test. This is the state permit test which is composed of a Knowledge test and Signs test. Or, you can click here to go there directly (the link is also found at the top right corner of our site). The tests are based on the material from the 30 hour course, but an overview of topics can also be found in the Wisconsin Motorist handbook, which you can download online.

How/when do you receive your permit?

Once students take the permit test at the end of the class, all students who are 15 years of age will receive their permit application. Students will then take the permit application to the DMV, where they will be issued their permit. Students who are not 15 years of age or older by the time class ends must wait until they turn 15 years. You can either stop by our main office on Brookfield Road or the Office can mail you a copy of the permit application.

When is payment due for class?

Payment is either due upon enrollment, via credit card, or a check must be mailed to our office within 5 business days.

I owe an oustanding payment or my teen has already been enrolled and I have decided that I want to pay for my package online/via credit card after all, how can I pay?

No problem! Go to our Pay Outstanding Fees page and you can submit a payment that way. On the form, please make sure to include the students full name that the payment applies to and the reason for payment.

How/when does behind-the-wheel begin?

Once you have your permit, you may start the behind-the-wheel program. Please go here and begin with step 1 to register for scheduling behind-the-wheels.

What happens once behind-the-wheel classes are finished?

Once a student completes all required hours of behind-the-wheel, their completion certificate will be submitted electronically to the DMV database. Students will need to bring their permit and a copy of their parent log to the DMV for their road test.

Do I have to pay separately for behind-the-wheel classes?

All of our teen packages include 30 hours of classroom AND all specified behind-the-wheel hours, except for our Online Only package - this package only includes the online classroom (although you have the option to later purchase a behind-the-wheel only package with us to complete your behind-the-wheels).

What if I have taken the class online or elsewhere?

We do offer behind-the-wheel only packages in which you can enroll. Click here to choose and sign up for a package.

Do you do student home pickup/drop offs for teen behind-the-wheel classes?

Although the school previously did student pickup and drop offs at home, due to an increasing number in enrollments, and students living in various areas, we can no longer provide this service. We also feel that this is the most beneficial to the students, ensuring that each student receives the same amount of driving time and follows the same planned course, instead of having time cut out of sessions to drop other students off, perhaps even in an unfamiliar area.

Once I enroll, how do I take my course?

You will have received a welcome e-mail that contains a link that will take you to confirm your e-mail address and set up your password. First, click that link to complete your e-mail confirmation. Upon visiting the url for that link, please enter the password you would like to use to log in to your account. After that, you may go to log in.

What if the link in my welcome e-mail expires?

If the link expires, go to log in and follow the instructions from there to reset your password - it will ask for the e-mail you used in your enrollment and send a link to complete the reset. After resetting, you will be able to log in, and upon your first log in, you will be asked to complete the e-mail confirmation process again which will send you another link to complete the confirmation. Once confirmed, you will be able to freely log in.

What do I do when I finish the course?

After completing the course, if you have purchased a package that includes your behind-the-wheels, you may contact us to take your written test for obtaining your permit at our office location in Brookfield as well as set up your behind-the-wheel scheduling once that is complete and you have received your permit from the DMV. If you have not purchased a package that includes behind-the-wheels, you may either purchase one through us at that time by clicking here (you will be contacted about your package purchase and given instructions on next steps to obtain your permit and set up your behind-the-wheels), or if you wish, you may go to another local driving school that offers behind-the-wheel and observation - this school will need to contact us to obtain information about and to ceritify your completion of the online course.
